ADULT AND PEDIATRIC DERMATOLOGY

As a dermatologist, Dr. Robert Chen is trained to treat patients of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. This includes the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of problems pertaining to the skin, hair and nails.

Common conditions we evaluate and treat in children at Acacia Dermatology are moles and birthmarks, rashes/eczema, acne, common warts, molluscum, impetigo and insect bites.

In adults, we at Acacia Dermatology treat a wide range of conditions, such as skin cancers and pre-cancers, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, seborrhea, shingles, age spots/brown spots, melasma and photoaging.

In all age groups at Acacia Dermatology we also treat eczema, poison ivy, oak & sumac, cold sores/fever blisters, tinea versicolor, scabies, vitiligo, hair loss (alopecia) and other disorders, and we carefully examine moles or other growths to determine whether they are or may become cancerous. Patients who have atypical moles or skin cancer may choose among options from excisional skin surgery to Mohs micrographic surgery.

SKIN CANCER SCREENING

We at Acacia Dermatology hope to improve the rate of cure of most types of skin cancer by focusing on prevention and early diagnosis and treatment. With that in mind, we strongly encourage yearly skin cancer screenings.
